Bellingen's 20th Spring Plant Fair 11th September 2010, 8 am to 2 pm, Market Park, Bellingen NSW

Spring is the ideal time to make those planting additions to your garden, orchard or farm! We would like to remind you that one way to help with the effect of Global Warming and provide habitat for native birds and animals is to plant a native tree or a shrub.  At the Bellingen Plant Fair there are over 60 nursery and garden-related stalls selling an extensive variety of tropical and sub-tropical, native, exotic or food-bearing, trees, shrubs, herbs or vegetable seedlings. Information stalls from local organisations and interesting workshops hourly. Learn about Bushfoods, Bird and Frog-friendly backyards, identify native plants, noxious weeds and how to grow food in your own backyard!

Open from 8am to 2 pm at the Bellingen Market Park with musicians and good food, and free entry, you are most welcome to join us. The Bellingen Natural Growers Market is on the same day, across the river at the showgrounds, for some lovely take-home organic produce. The Spring Plant Fair is a fundraiser for the Bellingen Environment Centre and is sponsored by the Bellingen Community Markets.
